If you are a movie lover, you might know Olivia Pope, the star of Scandal. But if you are not yet a fan of Scandal or Olivia Pope, I’d share with you a summary of who she is.
Olivia Pope is the daughter of Eli Pope, the head of a secret intelligence agency willing to do anything to protect the Republic. She is the love interest of a sitting President, Fitzgerald Grant. She was Fitz’s heroine – they couldn’t stay away from each other. Infact a judge said they breathe the same air when they are in the room together, can you ever imagine that sort of connection? She was also a woman loved by other men – crazy in love with her at that.
She’s a lawyer and a fixer, who has the complete loyalty and trust of her team -gladiators as they are called. And she has the utmost respect, love, adoration, and admiration of her high-end clients, who have her on speed dial whenever they need her to come in and fix anything.
She’s a combination of genius, tact, class, beauty, power, sexy, and sass in heels and good clothes. When she walks into a room, you know for sure that whatever was wrong is getting fixed, the atmosphere is changing, someone is getting schooled, and they will have their ass handed to them. She is never short of what to say, moves to make, or strategies to use. She’s admired by women, craved by men. The corridors of power are her playground. She metaphorically breathes out fire. And she does this in stilettoes. When she walks into a room, you know for sure that Ms. Pope is in the building.
She was played by the brilliant Kerry Washington.

And you can be her.
You can be Olivia Pope in your life.
What does that mean, really?
Are you to work in politics, be a lawyer, sleep with a sitting President, or with powerful men, or wear heels?
You can do all of the above, hopefully not the sleeping with married men part.
The part of her I want you to pay attention to and become is what we’d dissect. That’s the part of her that gave her that effect she has on people.
At the surface, you might call it confidence, but it’s not just that; confidence is just a byproduct of something deeper, a blend of identity clarity, zone of genius, and purpose.
This is what makes up The Olivia Pope Effect.
This is the effect she has on Fitz that made him eat off her hand. She’s beautiful, no doubt, and she’s confident, true. But the fire in her that draws you to her and keeps you coming back is because you know that she can make something so complex that could be wreaking havoc, come to eye level, become so simple, and help you win. Simply, you know what she’s capable of. She made sure of it.
She may not look like she can bring down a building, and that can make you underestimate her, but she can make men bring down that building on her behalf with her genius.
What is that effect she has? It’s a combination of: identity clarity, zone of genius, and purpose.
And you can be her. You can tap into these things and be your version of Olivia Pope in your world.
Ms. Pope knows who she is, what she’s capable of, and what she can do. She’s not waiting for validation; she has been validated. She’s not waiting to be invited; she hosts her own. You cannot say anything about her that would make her sad or shocked, because you can’t tell her what she already knows about herself. Either you are right, or you are wrong. If you are right, then you are not telling her what she doesn’t already know; if you are wrong, she wouldn’t give you the time of day because, in the grand scheme of things, you don’t matter. Her identity is iron-clad, her image is curated with intention, and her self-worth is through the roof. This is Identity.

And all these are because she has tapped into her zone of genius. She wasn’t found designing clothes, learning how to build tech, learning the latest thing in town, or even how to cook for what she will eat herself – imagine that. Nothing wrong with any of them, but it’s just not her cup of tea.
She went all in on the one thing Olivia Pope can do, so she can be so good at it that no one else can be found who will be better than her at it. She found her zone of genius, her one big thing, and made it her everything, until she became irreplaceable and, without knowing, irresistible.
Your zone of genius is the one thing you are gifted with and can do easily, sometimes even naturally, so that it seems effortless. It is the exact spot your unique intelligence and gifting shine the most. That is zone of genius.
She found her purpose – her reason for being and built her world around that. When you think of Olivia Pope, you know her for one thing. She infused her zone of genius and a healthy and powerful sense of self-concept into it and became the formidable woman that she is. That is purpose.

She lives on purpose and not found running around doing everything and being everyone. She’s not following trends, she’s setting them. She’s not tossed around by every idea; she’s grounded, firm, and steady on who she is, what she wants, believes, and is called to do. She moves for purpose, powered by her calling, and lives by intention.
All of these unleash untold confidence inside of you; everything else is a plus. Look around you, everyone you know globally at the top of their game, doing what they were called to do, commands that same level of respect, attention, admiration, and money.
To activate The Olivia Pope Effect, where you become irreplaceable, irresistible, and confident, and get paid to be yourself, all you need is to tap into your zone of genius, build an iron-clad identity, and uncover your purpose.

If this spoke to you, then you should be in the Destined program; this is exactly what we do in there.
